The 23rd Scouts Leadership Training Program commenced with a graceful opening ceremony by Dasho Ugyen Tshering, Hon’ble Member of the National Council, in the presence of other distinguished guests.
The 21-days programme has brought together 150 scouts from 20 Dzongkhags and four Thromdes, providing an excellent platform for young people to learn, grow, and develop in a safe, supportive, and inspiring environment.
Throughout the camp, participants will engage in leadership training, team-building activities, outdoor adventures, and community service initiatives designed to strengthen essential life skills such as discipline, responsibility, self-reliance, leadership, resilience, and teamwork. These experiences will also prepare the scouts to become responsible and capable participants in the Gyalsung and Pelsung programmes in future.
Beyond developing practical skills, the camp promotes friendship, respect for nature, and a deep appreciation of the values and principles of Scouting. It encourages every scout to step beyond their comfort zone, build confidence, embrace challenges, foster resilience, and create lifelong memories while growing into responsible citizen.
