National Day, Paro.

Ushering in the Chief Guest, Dasho Dzongdag in a traditional Chipdrel Ceremony, the 117th National Day began by offering butter lamps to the Gongsar Ugyen Wangchuck Portrait, offering of prayers and Zhabten to His Majesty the King.

The day's celebrations continued with the relay of His Majesty's national address to the crowd from Changlingmithang celebration grounds resonating His Majesty's vision and wisdom for the welfare of the people and the nation.

With numerous entertainment programs, games and lucky draw lottery for the people gathered at the celebration ground, the 117th National Day Celebrations were joined by Rinpung Rabdey, Judiciary, Armed Forces, Local Government, Representatives from DANTAK and IMTRAT, Regional Officials, School Students and Teachers, Dzongkhag Officials, Business Community and the General Public.

A day to remember and pay our gratitude and respects for the selfless service of our beloved Monarchs for the past, present and future. A sense of unity, patriotism and loyalty prevailed at the celebration.
