The Paro Dzongkhag Livestock sector and Geog Administrative Officers (GAOs) across 10 geogs convened their first-ever staff coordination meeting at Hotel Holiday Home on August 22–23, 2026.
The meeting aimed to foster stronger inter-sectoral collaboration, align Annual Work Plans (AWP) with Geog and Individual Work Plans (IWP), Orient Geog Livestock In-charges and Dzongkhag Veterinary Hospital (DVH) staff on the uses of new Veterinary Information System (VIS).
During the first day, participants successfully finalized the AWP and mapped out their respective IWPs before transitioning into hands-on training with the new VIS. The event brought together 8 GAOs, 21 livestock officials, the Dzongkhag Planning Officer, and Human Resources Officers.
The opening session was chaired by Dasho Dzongdag of Paro, who emphasized the critical role of planning in both official and personal life. He noted that achieving success requires constantly reflecting on four core questions: Where are we? Where do we want to be? How do we get there? and How do we know?
