Tshedra Goenpa is located at Tshegang Chiwog under Naja Gewog, Paro Dzongkhag. The Goenpa was initially recognized by Neyphu Trulku Namdrel Dorji. In the 14th Century Terton Sherab Mebar discovered a statue of Tsepamed (Buddha of long live) from the place.
Thus the Goenpa's name was based on the discovery of the Tshepamed statue. The Goenpa currently has 15 young monks studying the various aspects of Buddhism and is undergoing minor renovation works.
