Announcement (20/03/2022)
In addition to the DC19TF’s Announcement dated March 17, 2022, relaxation shall be extended as follows with effect from March 21, 2022:
Inter-Dzongkhag movement:
- Movement out of Paro Dzongkhag shall be allowed without antigen test, unless it is required by the receiving Dzongkhag.
- Similarly, movement into Paro Dzongkhag from high-risk areas shall be allowed with antigen test (negative). Travelers must produce antigen test report (negative) in hard copy at the Check Post.
- However, day travelers are not required to undergo antigen test.
Quarantine:
- Individuals from high-risk areas shall have to undergo seven-day home quarantine in Paro for which they will have to register with 1060 prior to coming. However, those who have certificate/evidence of having undergone home-quarantine in the place of origin shall not be required.
Public buses:
- Public buses shall be allowed to operate at 50% capacity.
Offices:
- Public/Corporate/Private Offices in the Dzongkhag shall be allowed to open.
Games and sports:
- Games and sports shall be allowed. However, no spectators and tournaments shall be allowed.
- Gym, yoga and similar fitness centers can operate at 50% capacity.
Business hours:
- Except for entertainment centers, all businesses can operate until 9 pm.
Reverse Isolation:
- Individuals in the Dzongkhag who are most vulnerable to COVID-19 will receive special care under the Reverse Isolation Program, an initiative under the Royal Command.
- The vulnerable group will be cared for in identified facility or at their homes.
- Dedicated health professionals and personal caregivers, in coordination with relevant health facilities will ensure the wellbeing of the individuals in isolation.
The DC19TF would like to urge the general public to observe Covid-19 health and safety protocols at all times.
