The Annual Kitchu Pelchen Drupchen was held at Paro Kitchu Lhakhang for a period of 12 days, from 2nd  till 13th day of the 8th month of the Bhutanese Calendar (September 11-  September 22, 2018) this year.

The Drupchen is an annual event. The Drupchen was initiated by late H.H  Kyabje Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche under the patronage of our Royal families. Her Majesty the Royal Grandmother graced the entire Drupchen prayer ceremony.

His Eminence Dilgo Khyentse Yangsi Rinpoche along with 68 monks from the Tharpaling Monastery in Bumthang had presided over the Drupchen prayers during the 50th year of the Drupchen in 2015 and in 2017, the 52nd year Namkhai Ningpo Rinpoche had presided over the with 66 monks from Nimalung Dratshang in Bumthang.

This year too, Namkhai Nyingpo Rinpoche had presided over the entire 12 days of the Drupchen with more than 60 monks from the Nimalung Dratshang in Bumthang.

 

Namkhai Nyinpo Rinpoche also conducted a Rabney Ceremony.

 

The Kitchu Drubchen is held annually for the peace and prosperity of the nation and for the benefit of all sentient beings.
