Coinciding with His Majesty the Fourth King's Birth Anniversary, the annual five day Genpoi Wangchen Drupchen commenced today at the Druk Choeding Lhakhang, Tshongdue, Paro.

Rinpung Rabdey, Armed Forces, Local Government Officials, Thromde and the Dzongkhag Administration gathered at the Druk Choeding Lhakhang in the morning hours to offer prayers, butter lamps and Zhabten to the Fourth King. A cake cutting ceremony was also held at the Lhakhang.

The five day Genpoi Wangchen is being presided over by HE Trulku Trinley.

Towards noon, in observing the World Children's Day, His Majesty's Certificate Award for Academic Excellence for 2022 and 2023 Award Ceremony was held at Khangku Middle Secondary School. Dasho Dzongdag awarded the certificates to the toppers as the representative of His Majesty the King.
