The consecration ceremony of Paro Dungtse Lhakhang was held on 15 November, 2019. The ceremony was graced by Her Majesty the Royal Grandmother Ashi Kesang Choden Wangchuck. Dungtse Lhakhang located some few minutes from Paro Town falls under Dopshari Gewog.  

Dungtse Lhakhang has been restored to its former glory by the Dungtse Lhakhang Restoration Project Team of Her Majesty the Royal Grandmother Ashi Kesang Choden Wangchuck since 2017. The Project team comprised of both Japanese and Bhutanese conservationists.

Her Majesty the Royal Grandmother was received in a Chipdrel Procession and Marchang was offered by Dasho Dzongda. 

The Letshog Lopen of the Zhung Dratshang presided over the ceremony. Rinpung Rabdey, Dzongkhag Administration  and the local community offered Buelwa and Ku-Sung-Thuk Mendrel to Her Majesty the Royal Grandmother.
